The Cook Center at Navarro College is one of the best-kept secrets in Texas. It is the home of two of the Nation's most outstanding museums, The Pearce Western Art Museum and The Pearce Civil War Museum, Texas' largest planetarium and a fabulous gift shop. But The Cook Center has much more to offer.
Businesses and organizations from throughout Central Texas hold their meetings in The Atrium of The Cook Center. The executive secretary of a large corporation recently commented, "The Cook Center is the most fabulous spot for a meeting. Everyone is just amazed at the hospitality and kindness. The museums and planetarium are so elegant and entertaining."
The Cook Center offers meeting space and banquet facilities for groups up to 300 in number. Events may be scheduled in the daytime or evening, throughout the week. The Cook Center is an active part of Navarro College's educational facilities and persons or organizations wishing to reserve space should call to determine availability.

Lefty Frizzell Museum
True monument to the famed country singer of the 1950?s hits ?If you?ve Got the Money, Honey, I?ve Got the Time? and ?Always Late.? See the life-size bronze statue of Lefty and a collection of his furniture, music, photographs and western suits from the famous Nudies Western Tailor.

The Pearce Civil War Museum features first-hand accounts of the American Civil War. Organized around a time-line, the museum exhibits letters, diaries, journals, photographs and artifacts from civilians, soldiers, military, political and civic leaders of the era. The Pearce Collection consists of more than 14,000 original Civil War letters, documents and artifacts.

The goal of the Pearce Western Art Museum is to collect and make available for public enjoyment works by the best artists, both new and established, who represent the world of American Western Art.
The Pearce Museum is home to original representational works of art by acknowledged masters of Western Art as well as recent works by the members of the National Academy of Western Art, the Cowboy Artists of America, and the National Sculpture Society, among others.

An astounding 48,000 mounted artifacts known as one of the finest collections of Native American artifacts in Texas and the Southwest. The collection?s oldest pieces date back to 8000 B.C.
