Corsicana - Where Country Meets Culture

We invite you to visit Corsicana and experience our motto yourself. But what does "Where Country Meets Culture" really mean? --- We believe that in Corsicana, you get the best of both worlds: Arts and entertainment unparalleled in scope other than in the big Metroplexes, along with food, shopping, and recreation in the relaxed setting of a town that is just right in size to offer everything without being hectic or rushed.

Corsicana and the surrounding area offer a multitude of recreational opportunities to enjoy. There are 12 parks that cover approximately 600 acres, 3 lakes including Richland Chambers, the third largest lake in Texas, 2 golf courses, and 49 tennis courts. Entertainment venues cover everything from movies to music including The Palace Theatre, The Warehouse Living Arts Center and an outdoor amphitheatre for concerts. Three health centers and a YMCA are available for all of your fitness needs.

Camping

Corsicana is surrounded by several beautiful lakes that offer campgrounds and other outdoor recreation.

Entertainment

With live music, theater, clubs, museums and more, there is something for everyone in Corsicana.

Fishing

Area lakes host fishing tournaments. Bass, catfish, and crappie are among the predominant species found in these lakes.

History

Established in 1848, Corsicana has a rich and diverse history that survived the civil war and is rooted in oil and railroads.

Hunting

Wild boar, quail, pheasant, chucker, ducks and geese are some of the wild game that will challenge hunters in the Corsicana area.

Main Street Project

In its goal to preserve the rich downtown heritage of Corsicana, the Corsicana Main Street Project is using the Texas Main Street 4-Point Approach: Organization, Design, Promotion, and Economic Restructuring. The Main Street Project stimulates community pride and involvement as well as a diversity of business development, and through this creates a strong historic preservation ethic throughout the community and its residents.

Museums

Corsicana may not be the 7th wonder of the world, but it does offer 7 museums to explore. Several of our museums are unique and offer exhibits without comparison anywhere else in the nation.

Parks

Corsicana has 12 public parks offering everything from picnic areas, to water park, tennis, jogging trails, swimming, skateboarding, dirt bike path, and more.
