Hiring for a ECE Program Support Specialist for our Microschool in Mildred!

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated ECE Program Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our instructional staff. The ideal candidate will assist our teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Duties

• Support the lead teacher with classroom activities, arts and crafts, group play, and story time.
• Assist in supervising children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times, both indoors and outdoors.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Guide children in developing social, emotional, and self-help skills, using positive reinforcement and redirection techniques.
• Set up play areas, learning centers, and materials before and after activities.
• Assist with daily routines, such as snack time, bathroom breaks, and transitions between activities.
• Observe children’s behavior and report any concerns regarding development or well-being to the lead teacher.
• Foster respectful and positive relationships with children, parents, and co-workers.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in training sessions as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in working in an early childhood environment- this is a non-negotiable
• Coursework in early childhood education is a plus.
• Experience working with young children in a group setting is required.
• Patience, reliability, and a genuine love for working with children. - Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and classroom routines.
